Hearing Loss Resources

There are so many wonderful resources available for people with hearing loss that we'll never be able to list them all. We'll start with the ones that we think are most important and work our way down the long list. Check back often as we add additional categories.

Local Resources are probably the most important, because they can serve as a gateway to all other resources. One of our first recommendations to a person with a hearing loss is to become involved with others who also have a hearing loss. Local organizations are a great way to do this. Our Local Resources pages provide information on what's available in many southern California communities.

Many people with hearing loss sing the praises of assistive listening devices (ALDs). These devices provide additional assistance in situations in which hearing aids alone are not enough. If you're having trouble understanding people in church, meetings, lectures, movies, etc., ALDs can make a huge difference.
